Earlier this year, our very own Ms. Ashura went on a trip to Nairobi for the PD training on Cambridge IGCSE™ Swahili (0262) with a focus on assessment.
“Firstly, I must express how much of an enriching experience it was for me. The opportunity to engage with educators from various international schools was incredibly insightful. However, what truly stood out was the chance to interact with Swahili teachers from different parts of East Africa. Their diverse perspectives and teaching methodologies provided me with a deeper understanding of the subject. I found the organisation of the training to be excellent. The sessions were well-structured and facilitated, allowing for meaningful discussions and learning opportunities. The venue and accommodations also met expectations, contributing to a comfortable and conducive learning environment. Nairobi’s colder climate was quite a contrast to the warmth of Zanzibar, which took some adjustment. However, this did not detract from the overall positive experience of the trip.
I want to express my gratitude for the opportunity to participate in this PD training. It has undoubtedly enriched my professional development and will have a positive impact on my teaching practice.”
