The International School of Zanzibar is located just south of Stone Town, Zanzibar West. Our campus sits on a small hill overlooking the Indian Ocean, with easy access to the beach. ISZ is easily accessible, located in a suburban area of Mazizini/Mbweni, a popular residential area, which allows students to safely walk or cycle to school. 

Within our campus are; 22 Classrooms, Technology Lab, Science Lab including, the only 25 metre swimming pool in Zanzibar West. To support our students we have a library, multi-purpose hall, 2 football fields, basketball court and coming soon our very own canteen. 

We are thrilled to announce an exciting new development at ISZ! Designed to provide our students with the best learning spaces and resources.

Our campus has completed a phase 1 expansion by enhancing our educational environment with 3 multipurpose classrooms (2021). Phase 2, included a year 1 and year 2 classroom as well as an additional bathroom and school canteen. 

The new buildings are a testament to our commitment to providing an outstanding educational experience for our students. With these enhanced facilities, ISZ is enabled to accommodate our growing student numbers. 

We are very pleased to be working with locally renowned architect Lucas Oteyza, and cannot wait to get this project completed. The designs not only look beautiful but are also functional and sustainable, reflecting our commitment to excellence and innovation.
