I don’t teach subjects, I teach students!” I have been teaching since 2008, with nine years of experience teaching in Washington, D.C., one year in Costa Rica, and the rest here at the International School of Zanzibar! I have taught mathematics, history, geography, and economics. I have a BA in Economics from the University of Massachusetts and a Masters in Teaching Secondary Mathematics from American University. I am fluent in Spanish and am proficient in Swahili. I am passionate about too many things to list here, but especially teaching and learning, and consider myself a life-long learner! I love teaching most of all because I enjoy working with people: with my colleagues, with my students, and with all the members of our teaching community. I have been the Head of Secondary since 2022 and am excited about the continued growth and development of our school!
