Ms. Dianedra Aytona
Hello, my name is Dianedra, and I am from the state of Maryland in the United States of America. I hold a Master’s Degree in Education and have spent the past twelve years wandering the wonderful world of primary education, teaching learners in Years 2, 3, and 5. One of my greatest joys as a teacher is inspiring children to “Think and wonder, wonder and think,” as the Dr. Seuss saying goes. It is simply magical helping children fuel their curiosity for themselves.
In 2019, I ventured across the globe to Bangalore, India, where I had the opportunity to participate in a summer teaching fellowship, and I fell in love with the idea of teaching abroad. For the past five years, I’ve called Chiang Mai, Thailand home and I’ve embraced discovering a new vibrant culture, celebrating new traditions, meeting people from all walks of life, and collecting the little everyday adventures that make expat life so amazing.
I’ve yearned to experience the richness and beauty of African culture, while also having the chance to call a beautiful island my new home. Asante sana for the warm welcome to Zanzibar. I’m extremely excited to be part of the ISZ family!
