I was born and raised in the Netherlands and have been happily living in Zanzibar now for six years. After having studied Cultural Anthropology at the University of Utrecht, I came to the realisation that my heart lies with guiding and supporting young people on their path of development. I decided, thereafter, to shift gears in 2014 and to study to become a teacher. Supporting students with their own individual needs and seeing them grow in confidence when they have overcome a challenge, brings me a lot of joy and fulfilment as a teacher.
